I started my child care centre in 2014 as I love children and feel I have a special bond with them. I consider myself very well organized and run a tight ship.
I am a mother of three teenagers, and as my children are getting older I decided to expand my childcare centre. This is how Douglas Park Academy was created. I currently hold my ECEA and are focusing on getting my ECE.
In my spare time I am usually seen at the ice rinks around town cheering on my beautiful children during the hockey season, or on the football field during the spring.
I also love walking my dog down by the beach and paddle boarding in the summer.

Background:
I joined the Early Years sector in 2010 after receiving my FETAC Level 6 Supervision in Childcare Advanced Diploma with Ballinode Community College in Sligo, Ireland.
After discovering my love for the Montessori Approach, I completed my Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education with Montessori Pedagogy in 2013 with Portobello Institute, Ireland and have been working as a Montessori Teacher since then.
Why are you a teacher?
I love engaging with children and teaching them.
I love being part of their learning journeys; helping them to build the life skills that they will need in school, instilling them with a healthy sense of self worth and confidence, supporting their academic, social, and personal development and inspiring them to become all round happy, confident, competent learners.
